Ethan Reed is a doctoral candidate in English at the University of Virginia. He was a 2015-2015 Praxis Program Fellow in the Scholars' Lab, where he was also lead developer for ClockWork a sonification project. During the 2017-2018 academic year he will be a Graduate Fellow in Digital Humanities in the Scholars' Lab. His research focuses on modern and contemporary American literature, the digital humanities, and critical theory. His dissertation project examines feelings associated with injustice--frustration, anger, discontent, and so on--as they intersect with literary history in three periods of political unrest in 20th- and 21-st century America history.
